Percolator mixer

Percolator (extractor) is used to obtain extracts on a water or alcohol basis, mainly from plant materials. The resulting extracts may be the final product.

To obtain concentrated extracts, the percolator can be equipped with a jacket, mixing factor, vacuum unit or evaporator.

Percolator is used for the production of infusions, syrups, extracts and balms from medicinal plant materials, percolation effect in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

Design

The percolator is a cylindrical or conical container made of food steels, grades AISI 304 or AISI 316, equipped with a heat insulated heating jacket. The tank has sealed units for loading and unloading, fittings on the lid allow you to connect all the necessary equipment to create a vacuum. The control panel is equipped with a heating meter-controller, a frequency converter, buttons for starting the stop of the mixing device (optional), buttons for starting and stopping the pump (optional), an emergency stop button and an engine control protection system.

Principle of operation

Material loading is carried out through a loading hatch, hermetically sealed with a lid. The working capacity has a cylindrical or conical shape. Percolation itself consists of three successive stages, swelling of the material, infusion of the material and filtering of the extractant (water, alcohol, etc.) through the material in order to obtain the extract. The percolation process is carried out until the complete "depletion" of the material. The extractant is discharged through special nozzles.
